Day 5: Alex N.

01.05.14

I think I speak for everyone when I say that one of the best feelings is a short wait for Sunday brunch!  Especially at one of my favorite brunch hot spots in the city - Jacob's Pickles.

Meet Alex - my newest friend and our server at brunch.  Alex came to New York two years ago to study musical theatre at Circle in the Square from his hometown of Ottawa, Canada.  Lucky for Alex, he was able to spend quite a few months as a working actor back-to-back before settling back down in his part-time gig while going on auditions.

Alex was able to chat a bit about his fascinating family history -- both of his parents were from different countries altogether - his mother being Czech and his father Jamaican, they moved to Canada where they met. Not only that, one of Alex's mother's parents was Czech and the other was Slavic (which was taboo).  He also has multiple siblings.  Now he's here in NYC pursuing his dream!

Great to meet you, Alex!
