There were two Spencers on the trip. Spence and The Spencer. The Spencer got the "The" because he's older (and wiser?)
The Spencer hung out in NYC a bit post-trip before heading back to DC where he lives and works as a journalist. (Dare I mention he went to Northwestern... in CHICAGO!) He works at The Atlantic magazine as a Senior Associate Editor -- fancy, right?! The Spencer has such a sarcastic and dry wit and always was on hand for a good laugh. Too bad you don't live in the city, my friend. We'll come visit you soon!
