It was one of those "I'm worried I'm not going to make a Friend of the Day" kind of days... when I walked into Insomnia Cookies and started chatting with the guy sitting at the counter who turned out to be one of their delivery guys.
Joe R. was more subdued than most of the Friends of the Day so far, but was still pretty psyched about the idea. He went on to tell me that before working as a delivery guy at Insomnia he was on the sales floor at Nike Town. When I asked him if there were any neighborhoods he preferred to deliver to, he noted that a few weeks ago he covered a shift at a location farther uptown (we were on the UWS) and that he had a better appreciation for his location after spending time up there.
He also made sure to note that he really enjoyed the hills and biking around the city as a part of his job.
